The Story Behind The Stories

Hello You,

I was once just as small as you—dreaming, imagining, and pretending to be all the things I wanted to become when I grew up. I used to sit in my bedroom, writing out my future aspirations. Oh, how I dreamed of becoming a pediatrician, a poet, a hairstylist, a business owner, a rapper, and a writer.

But life has a way of throwing curveballs that test your focus. On my tenth birthday, my mother passed away, and suddenly, the things I once loved no longer felt fun. As the oldest, I had to grow up quickly. With so much happening in my mind and around me, it became hard to stay focused in school, and I began to lose self-discipline in different parts of my life. I endured significant adversity, including abandonment, physical and emotional abuse, neglect, malnutrition, sexual abuse, periods of homelessness, bullying, and false accusations. These experiences presented profound challenges, yet they also shaped my resilience, strength, and determination to rise above my circumstances.

So, how did I find my way back? Writing. Through all my emotions, I turned to my notebook—pouring out poetry, stories, and reflections to ease my mind and heart. Writing became my safe place and my way of healing.

I joined the military determined to build a stable future for myself. What I did not expect was that the journey would also lead me inward. At 27 years old, I made the life-changing decision to seek counseling. Through that experience, I gained clarity, healing, and a deeper understanding of my own resilience. My counselor recognized my growth and encouraged me to write a book about my life, believing my story could inspire others—especially children who may be struggling silently. While I continue working on my autobiography, I chose to begin by writing motivational children’s books.

Currently, I am a retired military professional with a distinguished career and a strong academic foundation—holding both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in business. I am also a devoted wife and a proud mother of three. I am committed to spreading messages of positivity, hope, and resilience through my stories. My books aim to empower young minds, spark a love for learning, and help children believe in their brightest futures.

I hope to inspire parents— reminding them of the influence they hold and the importance of nurturing confidence and kindness in their children. My mission is to leave behind a legacy of growth, empowerment, and love—one story at a time.

With love,
T’yana Brown
